Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 September 2026

This policy explains how Deqmac Limited ("we", "us") collects and handles personal data through this website. We process personal data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

Who we are

Deqmac Limited is an incorporated real estate firm in Kenya providing property valuation, estate agency, property management and consultancy services. Our registered office is at 4th Floor, Le'Mac Building, Church Rd, Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya.

Data controller contact: [email protected] or +254 717 982 212.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through the enquiry form on this site:

  • Your name and contact details (email address, telephone number where supplied)
  • The nature of your enquiry and the client role you select
  • Property requirements you share — preferred location, property type, budget, size, bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Any additional details you write in the message field
  • Technical data recorded with the submission: your IP address and the page you enquired from

We do not operate advertising or analytics cookies that profile you. The site stores a session cookie required for security, and a browser-local record of any listings you save or compare, which never leaves your device and is not readable by us.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry and to provide the valuation, agency, management or advisory service you have asked about. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you tick the data privacy agreement, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

Who can see it

Enquiries are visible to Deqmac Limited staff handling client work, and to our hosting provider as a necessary part of operating the website. Where an engagement proceeds, details may be shared with professionals acting on the instruction — for example a valuer, advocate or land registry — and only to the extent required to deliver the service.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation you return to. Records connected to a valuation or agency instruction are kept for the period required by the Valuers Act (Cap 532), the Estate Agents Act (Cap 533) and applicable tax and professional record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete data where we no longer have grounds to keep it
  • Stop processing where you withdraw consent
  • Object to processing, or ask that it be restricted

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the statutory period. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, Kenya.

Security and storage

The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry records are held in an access-controlled database on servers located in France (European Union), operated by our hosting provider. Where data is transferred outside Kenya it is protected by the security measures described here and processed only for the purposes set out above.

Changes

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
